Rambling Thoughts at Christmas

More Rambling Thoughts in the Christmas Season…..

I am listening to the news and hearing all of the controversy that keeps rearing it’s ugly head as the Christmas season approaches. Every country is under siege waiting for the next catastrophe or arguing about it’s very existence. The world is always in turmoil, but right now it appears that we are in a holding posture waiting for the next big attack.

Where is the peace that was promised??? Peace was to have been given to the world on so many occasions. More than I can count. Countries or political entities were always conducting wars for the good of their children and to preserve the peace for all the children of the world. The “Great War” .. World War II and even our Civil War are examples found in our own history. There have been a multitude of other skirmishes and hostilities around the world throughout history that would include the French Revolution, the continuous wars between England and France and Spain and let’s not forget Mother Russia. I ponder these things and wonder if the world can ever have peace, or if it is actually part of God’s plan for us to always suffer. When I speak of God I include all of the variations and deities around the world and all their various versions of a higher authority. I suppose the reason that there can never be real peace is the continuing number of always-unhappy people. When one group is satisfied, another group is unhappy. There are always people who want to change the rest of the world. To control entire populations or to foster the kind of world they want. Or to make others believe it is necessary for them to satisfy their idea of their world and control how it should be lived by all. Some consider it their birthright to control and, conversely, there are those that never see the growing ugliness when this does occur. These are people who believe that pacifism is peace. I admire the utopian idea of these people who allow their distaste for confrontation to direct their lives, but unfortunately, life is not like that…. whether it be the world of religious belief or secular conformity. Man (or Woman) is combatant. It is their very nature. I guess that this stems from the earliest times when survival was more basic than today. Although in some parts of the world, history has forgotten some. There are still races of people that live as humans lived centuries ago and not had progress catch up with them. I ponder which people is really living a more satisfactory life… these carry-overs from another time, or today’s “learned” population.

All of the maverick groups of history (Nazis, Fascists, Communists etc) have, for the most part, always been defeated, or controlled or neutered. The only ones left that appear to be a danger in the US are the Socialists (Communists) and the Terrorists. Socialism, most notably as practiced by the ACLU. That doesn’t mean that a new one will not pop up, but the tyranny that these groups exude are pretty similar. The ACLU is an organization, as you may or may not know, that has its roots deeply in Communism and in many ways; the judicial suits etc that they relentlessly bring to the system have been disguised attempts to return to that kind of social order. It is hard to imagine some of the things we have to endure today. Our forefathers would have had little patience with the continuing challenges to our most basic beliefs. The very essence of our culture is at risk as well as our religious heritage. No Christmas, No Easter, No anything that has any connection to the religious roots of these …. our ancestors. This “melting pot” of the world’s cultures now want us to give up the old American Way for a new World Secular Way that appears to be spearheaded by the Europeans. Those same Europeans that chased the first colonist to this new world to practice what was becoming more difficult to practice in that Old World. This situation is now further complicated with the entrance of the various other cultural and religious influences of third world countries that were never in the original ethnic mix That is not to say that “Mother Liberty” has not held out her hands to the world’s less fortunate. Ours is a glorious history of refugees pouring into this country and “making good.” The difference today; however, is that the current flood of refugees into the country (legally or illegally) are not interested in blending into the American culture as it has been practiced for 200 years, but to change our basic culture to accommodate other cultures that the vast majority of Americans do not want to change. This is totally Contrary to the refugees of the last century whose main objective was learning the language and ways of the American people. We can proudly say that we are the American People…. Not Irish Americans or Asian Americans etc… not even African-Americans. We are Americans who are white, black, yellow and several shades in between. The American people are and always have been tolerant of other religions, cultures and practices and have never interfered with the practicing of them in the USA. It has never been an issue to change the overwhelming majority to conform to the minority practices, most often at the expense of their own. While it is not a problem for all religions to observe their religious holidays some maybe even to be granted to all the citizens if appropriate, it is never right to expect the majority who practice what is the observed holidays (religiously rooted or otherwise) to not be able to practice them in the way that have done so for 200 years.

Make no mistake, if the vast majority of people in this country continue to rebel against these secular ideas or the ideas perpetrated by invaders as was started in the 90’s with the conservative movement, …. they may decide to change our laws to protect this heritage and I predict they will. Something has to be done to protect our heritage and our children.

It is no secret that the conservative movement was very concerned with the election of 2004. This was the election that would allow its winner to select several Supreme Judges that would most likely have to be replaced during the next 4 years. The conservatives turned out in record numbers to assure the continuity of the conservative base. It is imperative that a conservative influence be protected in this court, as so many of the state and local, Federal courts are manned by liberal judges that are trying to make law rather than interpret them. The Supreme Court appointments of Bush are good ones as both men subscribe to this basic philosophy of only interpreting the law. The liberal judges are convinced that the secular movement is what is best for the country despite the feelings of the great majority of Americans and continue to inject their influence on the laws of this country by ruling in ways that causes new interpretations of the laws as they were passed. The conservatives must regain control of the courts to rid the country of many of these social order change decisions. Thank God, they can be appealed and are being appealed and reversed at an astounding rate. But so much for the internal problems of our country.

One thing I am sure through all of this is that the greatest war that has ever been fought or ever will be fought has actually re-started with a greater feroicity than ever before. This war has actually been going on for several thousand years and is known to many middle easterners as …. the Great Jihad!!!! … which I’m convinced is now in it’s hottest stage ever. For many years, there were isolated instances and skirmishes, sometimes getting rather hot as in the Egyptian conflict of the late 60s, but since the establishment of the Jewish Nation in 1948 and the rise of the economies of certain Middle Eastern Countries and/or certain Middle Eastern Families a fire has been fueled that has created dangerous terrorist havens. These Terrorists understood that they must reach the young to spread their virus and began the Training Camps of the 80’s and 90’s that now have yielded graduates at their most dangerous levels. Rogue dictators like Saddam Hussein and several others in the Middle East and North Korea (and now it looks like also in Venezuela) were immediately put into positions of furthering their agendas by offering safe havens for the camps and terrorists. Afghanistan was only one of the “target” nations that any clear thinking westerner should have been considering for overthrow. Iraq was invaded by the US and it’s allies in 2003 because it could!! Hussein was clearly in violation of the United Nations orders and promoted an air of having WMDs. I really believe that there were WMDs that may be found someday. Many experts have indicated that most were hustled into Syria when the invasion actually began. God knows, there was adequate time, as Bush waited and appealed to the UN for nearly a year before acting. It was the right thing to do!!!!!!!

As I stated earlier in this paper, I believe that this stage of the Thousands Years War began in 1948 and has been getting hotter every year. Many mistakes have been made in judging this on the part of over zealous liberals in trying to minimize this fact by insisting that the practices of the “West” have contributed or even caused this situation to exist. This is folly!!!! The likes of Osma Bin Laden and other leaders of the movement believe that the only good Christian or Jew is a dead one. This is their philosophy and many in the “West” cannot grasp that some cultures can harbor this feeling. These feelings have always existed by certain people in every century and have had to been dealt with in every case. We have to deal with this one… the one that is most likely the most difficult of any in the history of the world because of sheer numbers, scientific discoveries of methods of destroying large numbers of people at a time and the wealth to carry them out. It is my feeling that Osama Bin Laden is most likely dead or at the very least, incapacitated to the extent that he cannot make a public appearance. His second in command has been the mouthpiece too many times and Osama would never have remained anonymous this long.

Bush has addressed this situation exactly as it should have been dealt with …. Maybe 10-15 or even 25 years too late. We had many indications that this dangerous situation was evolving… the Munich Olympic murders of the early 70’s, the gas lines of the mid and late 70’s (indicating that the Middle East was going to exercise their power with the world’s oil supply), the Gulf War and the several occasions that Clinton’s administration bungled or avoided … perhaps for political reasons.

It is necessary that the “West” understand that this Holy War must be fought in the backyards of the perpetrators and not in the streets of our cities. If we make the wrong choices in the fight in the Middle East, it WILL HAPPEN. Bush did the right thing to invade Iraq and history will remember it much the same as the heroism of Lincoln in holding the union together in the mid 1800’s and the strength of Churchill in the 1940s. All were vilified in their time by their adversaries and in fact even cost Lincoln his life. I guess it’s no accident that Lincoln was shot by an actor when we watch the actions of modern day Hollywood types. In many ways, they mimic the actions of the liberal element of the Civil War period. To win this war on terror, Americans must be prepared for a fight that will most likely take at least a generation and will be filled with much grief before the job is done. The only “exit strategy” will be to rid the world of ALL the members of this force that have been so indoctrinated that they cannot be resurrected. The key to victory will be the establishment of elected democracies in the Middle East as pioneered by Iraq and the exposure of the young to the kind of world that can treat them well.

Bush has a very difficult job. He must confront this world threat to our very being and also battle this group of liberal Democrats that have become incensed that they have lost power in the USA. As a group, they are relentless, attacking every action and finding ways (even if it includes flat out lies) to try to discredit the present administration with the idea that they will be able to recover seats in the 2006 elections and the White House in 2008 if they show that this administration has failed or at the very least, is dis-honest. They are interested in again dealing defeat to the USA through protests etc as they did in the Vietnam conflict. (Vietnam was a winnable war and should have been completed as evidenced by the huge number of deaths following the fall of Saigon). They must try to convince the people of the USA that this administration does not have they’re best interests at heart but only the interests of big business. These liberal elements are willing to risk our safety and the safety of the world if it costs that, to regain any power they can through discrediting anyone that suits their need. Their main objective is POWER… The POWER OF A FEW …. Always has been and always will be. They promote an idea that the world is not dangerous, that we promote our own problems and that European style negotiation is the answer. Another case of missing the point… or more tragically, understanding the point, but knowing that without ideas of their own to promote, harming the present regime is the best answer to getting their power back. How sad!!!!!!!!!!!! And tragically wrong!!!!!!!!! You would think that they would have learned (as Hillary seems to) that they must migrate to the middle or even to the mid right to get elected in this country. The far-left (that now all the Senate Democrats seem to have degenerated into) led by the likes of Michael Moore and George Soros is not the answer. They must get a new leader with a new vision. I, for one, do not want to see our country not have patriotic opposing viewpoints and strong political parties interested in the welfare of the people, but the Democratic Party of today looks like a dying breed. They are too self-interested. They practice politics of deceit and lies without any conscience as to what this is doing to the country. They do not care. They believe, I guess, that they can fix things after they break them and re-gain control. A new party must be resurrected with fresh ideas and a new strategy that includes the best interests of our country.

The black voter, while wising up to some extent, still casts their lot with the liberals despite that fact that these same liberals will not give the under privileged a chance to compete with the rest of the work force under conditions that require that they compete. The Democrats continue to support Affirmative Action Programs that do little other than promote a welfare state. These “action” demos continually insist that our schools are inadequate and that they must throw more money at it. That has never worked and never will!!!!! We have schools in this country that turn out good students and keep the wheels of our democracy running. Unfortunately, it is not our system of public education. The Private Sector is again doing it’s job of replacing a failed bureaucratic institution. Our Public Schools have been allowed to become a structure of Reform Schools that kids who want to learn by attending cannot do so and further are intimated to the point that many must join this unsavory group in their anti-social behavior to survive. These kids revel in a constant drumbeat of “rap” music that poisons their minds and preaches unacceptable behavior and practices. It is tough enough for kids today to try to keep their best years productive and intact as to learning and “growing up”. They cannot slowly learn about life and living it in a responsible, accountable fashion. They are forced to grow up too fast exposed to adult situations and having to make adult decisions. The movies that our Hollywood moguls continue to turn out glorify the bad guys; smoking and doing things that are “Bad to the Bone.” You would think that some of them would look at the successes of such works as the Passion etc that set box office records. One indicator that I saw said that movie attendance is at an all time low. I’m sure that the supporter of some of this “junk” would cry TV, DVDs etc as the reason rather than the fact that they just don’t make movies that the majority of people in this country like or feel good about their kids watching. It will be interesting to see how “King Smut,” Howard Stern does on the new Sirius radio connection that he promises to fill with all the “smut” that he is famous for. His line and the others who act so irresponsibly in the name of profits, is that anyone who doesn’t like it doesn’t have to listen to it. Well, I guess that should go for those kids who want to have prayer in school and see examples of religious interpretations of proper upbringing. Those who don’t like it can just look the other way. Stern has no qualms about using terrible language on his broadcasts and justifies them as “language of the streets” and what your kids are using anyway. I contend that we should have a self-inflicted code of good language to not use certain words that defame and embaress many of us and in the opinion of many… our very culture. I guess a good question would be… Why doesn’t anyone use the term “Nigger”… It has been associated with low esteem and the black people resent itr. Why not some other words???? Why can’t we extend the “freedom” to the work nigger, if it is OK to use other words that certain people find offensive to public conversation? I was taught that if you would’nt use a word in front of your parents or teachers, the word must have some negative connotation. Weith the thousands of words at our disposal, why use them. Unless, it is “cool”… and “cool” has been promoted by people who our youths think are “cpool”… Doesn’t that indicate who is at fault for our language problems. No turning that off!!!!!!!!!!

I have always felt that kids are products of their environments. If you drop a kid off in the jungle when they were not old enough to walk and he/she are raised by apes, most likely, they would mimic and act like apes… despite whatever level of intelligence they may have. Kids need direction. They must experiment and learn on their own, but it must be under circumstances that they don’t do themselves irreparable harm. I really don’t understand why everyone can’t see this basic fact!!!! It is so obvious. Maybe it is not the new learned thing to do. After all, one of the basics of the new non-religious left wing secular attitude is not subscribing to the Ten Commandments. Don’t put those things on the halls of our courthouses or schools. It is dis-respectful!!!! Unreal!!!! The Ten Commandments are a pretty good code to live by, even if someone doesn’t want to believe in God. As far as this secular thing is concerned, if there is not evidence of the religious version of creation and that only evolution must be considered, my question is where does evolution end? If we evolved from primates … (monkeys, apes etc) why are they still around? Why didn’t they evolve too? What right do we have to evolve and they cannot. It’s really pretty silly. No one can make a case for or against evolution or creation, but if 80% of the people believe one way, why not let them have their way in so far as the teaching of their children are concerned. This does not force anyone else to subscribe or even participate if they don’t want to. To me this is real fairness, not cutting out what the great majority of people want for the benefit of the few. Of course, if the practices are obviously hurtful or harmful, I would agree that it is important that the majority should not get something they want if it is something that is absolutely wrong and that wrong is provable and the rejection reasonable to clear thinking Americans.—not judged by the same people who have other ideas or convictions.

I was raised Roman Catholic, but must admit that I no longer practice my religion. I feel pretty guilty about it some times, but don’t do anything about it. I guess as I continue to age, it may be something that I’ll have to do so that I can rest easy before I die. My dad would turn over in his grave if he knew… maybe he does. I sure didn’t do the job that he did in providing some basic religious direction to my children. Don’t get me wrong, I’m proud of them all and feel that they all have a good solid moralistic base. I wonder how much of that was just plain inherited. Certainly, they are also better examples of parents than I was. They all spend the time and energy with their kids…my grandkids…that I just couldn’t find time to do. Again, don’t get me wrong, I loved my family with all my heart, but let outside influences guide me to places that I shouldn’t have been. It took me a number of years and sobriety to finally grow up. Never the less, I can relax that my off-spring and their off-spring are sound, moral and responsible adults who conduct their families in the way that makes an old man proud…
